People with learning disabilities and autism in Bath and North East Somerset are being supported to build skills, confidence and connections every day and now the council wants to go further.
Residents are being invited to share their views on how adult support services can be improved, helping to shape future provision and ensure it meets people's needs.
Bath & North East Somerset Council is reviewing how its Day Services could develop - increasing choice, expanding community-based opportunities, and introducing a new enablement service offering short-term, tailored support.
The survey asks for feedback on experiences of Carrswood and Connections Day Services, as well as views on plans to grow community options and introduce the proposed enablement support. Responses will directly inform the future Learning Disability and/or Autism Provider Service.
Councillor Alison Born, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, said: “Our day services help empower more than 100 individuals each week to discover their strengths, develop their skills, and connect with people. It is fantastic to have the opportunity to expand this vital support and offer even more choice. I encourage anyone who uses Carrswood or Connections Day Services, or may do in the future, to share their feedback. Your experience is essential to ensuring that the future learning disability support service meets the needs of our adults receiving care and their loved ones.”
