Green Flags for excellence are proudly flying once more in seven of Bath’s stunning parks and green spaces.
Alexandra Park again joins Haycombe Cemetery, Bloomfield Green, Hedgemead Park, Henrietta Park, Royal Victoria Park and Sydney Gardens in receiving the internationally recognised Green Flag Award standard.
The seven green spaces have received the much-coveted award for quality multiple times, demonstrating that they are maintained to a high standard for visitors and residents.
The Green Flag Awards are in their 30th year and this year went to a record breaking 2,391 parks and green spaces across the UK.
Councillor Oli Henman, Cabinet Project Lead for Climate Change, said: “I’m proud that the hard work and dedication of our Parks team, Bereavement Services team and volunteers has resulted in seven Green Flag wins once again. Maintaining beautiful places that support wellbeing and nature is a huge achievement. Having access to parks and green spaces makes a real difference to people’s lives.”
