Couples planning their big day are invited to step inside one of Bath’s most iconic buildings next month as The Guildhall opens its doors for the much-anticipated annual wedding showcase.
Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Registration team will host the showcase on Sunday 8 February, welcoming visitors to The Guildhall between 10am and 2pm.
The event offers an opportunity to explore the full Registration Suite, including all five elegant ceremony rooms and the register office. From intimate settings to grand spaces, The Guildhall is the ideal setting for weddings of all styles and sizes.
The council’s registrars will offer plenty of expert advice to help couples imagine how their special ceremony could unfold in the stunning historic venue.
More than 50 local wedding suppliers will be exhibiting, alongside representatives from a range of approved wedding venues across Bath and North East Somerset.
The council’s registrars celebrate more than 1,500 bespoke and personalised ceremonies across B&NES every year.
Councillor Manda Rigby, cabinet member for Communications and Community, said: “Our much-anticipated annual wedding showcase is a one‑stop destination to inspire your perfect day. Planning a wedding should be exciting, and this showcase brings together a stunning setting and some of the very best local suppliers all under one roof. The Guildhall has a remarkable atmosphere and we’re delighted to invite couples to experience it for themselves.”
Carly Cooke, Brand Manager at Nicholas Wylde Jewellers, said: “We’ve been exhibiting at the Wedding Showcase for the past three years and it has consistently been a great success for us. The event is extremely well organised and has a fantastic atmosphere. We’ve seen strong uptake of our wedding rings and services each year, with some couples returning to us even as long as 18 months after the event to buy their rings, having remembered meeting and speaking to us at the Guildhall! It has been a brilliant way to connect with new clients while showcasing everything the Guildhall has to offer as a wedding venue.”
Ceremony rooms at the Guildhall include the Alkmaar Room, Abbey View Room, Jane Austen Room, Georgian Room and the beautifully refurbished Blue Room, offering options for celebrations for between two and 118 guests. Ceremony prices, including registrars and use of a room, start from £270.
