Council management, Unison and ACAS met on 24 February for constructive talks on the dispute within Children's Services. Positive and productive progress was made with the council making an offer that Unison representatives believe should be considered.
In order to do this, and as a sign of good faith, Unison has agreed to suspend the proposed strike action scheduled for 2 and 3 March and 12 and 13 March.
Discussions at this stage remain strictly confidential. Further updates will be provided as soon as more information can be shared.
