Adults with wellbeing and support needs and their families and carers are invited to a free drop-in event in Keynsham on March 20 to find out about the support available to them in the area.

The event hosted by Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Live Well B&NES is an opportunity for residents to meet local groups, organisations and support services offering health, support and wellbeing services for adults.

These include Keynsham and Saltford Dementia Action Alliance, Keynsham-Dial-a-Ride, St John’s Foundation, We Get It, Age UK Bath & North East Somerset and Healthwatch B&NES.

Also due to attend are Curo, Avon Fire and Rescue, Community at 67, BEMSCA, The Carers’ Centre, Bath Mind, Community Wellbeing Hub, Alzheimer’s Society and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event will take place in the 1st Keynsham Scouts HQ at Ashton Way from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesday, March 20. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and the venue is fully accessible with an accessible toilet. No booking is needed.

Councillor Alison Born, cabinet member for Adult Services, said: “This event is a great opportunity for adults with support needs to drop in for a chat with representatives from local groups who can help you. It’s also important that residents who do an amazing job every day looking after their relatives or friends know where they could go for advice and support, so I’d encourage families and carers to come along too.”

Livewell B&NES is the council’s information, support and signposting service, for adults needing care or support, families with a child or young person with SEND, as well as for all children and families.
