Residents across Bath and North East Somerset are invited to meet with the council and its partners at the next round of Area Forums and Bath Community Conversations.

The events are part of Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Connecting Communities programme which brings together residents and community organisations with public services to discuss topics of interest and help address areas of concern.

In Bath there are regular drop-in Community Conversations sessions at community venues in residential areas of the city, where people can meet with the council’s Corporate Engagement Team.

The sessions will be joined by partners which may include the Police, Fire Service, Curo and Health and Wellbeing Services. Ward Councillors may also be in attendance.

The upcoming Bath Community Conversations are:

  • 28 February, 9am-1pm: Love Weston Café, Weston BA1 4DB
  • 5 March, 10.30am – 1pm:  St Andrew’s Community Church, Foxhill BA2 5QA

Area Forums for Chew Valley, Bathavon, Somer Valley and Keynsham will also take place later this month. These meetings are open to residents and involve public services, local Ward and Parish Councillors and community groups.

The Bathavon, Chew Valley and Somer Valley meetings will feature Somer Valley Links along with other topics of interest. More details can be obtained by contacting the Corporate Engagement Team at connecting_communities@bathnes.gov.uk

Councillor Kevin Guy, Leader of Council, said: “The Community Conversations and Area Forums help us and our partners understand what matters to you, get your views and work in partnership to improve people’s lives.

By talking through the topics that matter most to local people, we can develop a shared understanding and work together to address the challenges in our community. Please join us and give us your feedback.”

Details of Area Forums in the rest of the B&NES area and joining instructions can be found on the council website.
