Residents in the Somer Valley are invited to listen to the discussion about what’s happening in their community at the next Area Forum meeting on February 27.

The theme for the online meeting is health and wellbeing and the Forum will hear from Nik Aplin, the RUH’s Frailty Nurse, Helen Harris, Manager of the Three Valleys Health Primary Care Network and Avon Fire and Rescue on their home safety visits. There will also be an update on the Active Way project.

The meeting will also be joined by the police’s new beat manager for Westfield, PC Paul Sheppard, and beat manager for Midsomer Norton, PC Mark Graham, operational duties permitting.

The meeting is on Tuesday, February 27 at 6pm on Microsoft Teams. Click here to join the meeting and use Meeting ID: 394 538 601 487, Passcode: ANncT8

Lynda Robertson, Chair of the Somer Valley Area Forum, said: “This is the Forum’s first meeting of 2024 and we’re looking forward to receiving the latest news from local health care providers. Forum meetings are open to the public and we would be delighted to welcome any interested residents. They will have an opportunity to ask questions, give their views or just listen.”

Councillor Kevin Guy, Leader of Bath & North East Somerset Council, said: “Our Area Forums are the perfect opportunity for you to engage with the council, its partners and local organisations to find out what’s happening in your neighbourhood.  We are keen to get you involved in local decisions, tell you more about the public services in our area and give you a chance to have your say, so please join us.”
