Sensational schedule of summer events in Bath

A giant clock, angel, drummer, guitarist, keyboard player and singer float under the words 'Loving angels instead?'

The countdown is on for the city’s 2025 summer events schedule which includes something for everyone to enjoy and kicks off on June 12 with tropical escape Bath on the Beach at Royal Victoria Park.

Global star Robbie Williams will perform magical concerts in the open air against the stunning backdrop of the iconic Royal Crescent on June 13 and 14.

The fun continues on June 14 with Ladies Day at Bath Racecourse bringing all the glamour and more exclusive entertainment to the city. Meanwhile on the same day in Queen Street, World Gin Day hosts a global celebration of all things gin.

Sports enthusiasts have a range of enticing options including Bike Bath 2025 on June 15 which starts and finishes at Bath Recreation Ground, the much-loved annual community event Bath Boules at Queen Square on July 3 to July 7 and the Race for Life at Royal Victoria Park on July 6.

The programme continues through July with Bath Carnival bringing colour, creativity and community spirit to Bath on July 12, followed by Bath Summer Fayre on Milsom Street from July 18 to 20 where people can discover local crafts, delicious food and family-friendly activities.

Prospective students and their families will also be exploring the city during the University of Bath open days on June 13 and 14, the same days as Robbie Williams’ performances - meaning that the city is expected to be extremely busy over that weekend.

Bath & North East Somerset Council is encouraging visitors to use Bath’s three Park & Ride services, which have recently been extended later into the evening and now run until 11:30pm Monday to Saturday.

Residents and visitors are also advised to check the council’s social media accounts for updates to help them choose the best method of travel and avoid delays.

Planning journeys will be especially important as trains between London and South Wales will use an alternative route from June 9 to June 20 and on June 29 due to essential maintenance works.

Councillor Paul Roper, cabinet member for Economic and Cultural Sustainable Development, said: “There’s only three weeks to go before the start of an unforgettable season of events for Bath that promises to entertain and delight us all. It’s fantastic that residents in Bath and North East Somerset will be spoiled for choice with this line-up of vibrant events in their local city that will have something to suit all tastes.

“With the popularity of our city as an event destination comes the hustle and bustle, so to avoid the queues you can use the extended park and ride service which now provides the latest departure at 11.30pm Monday to Saturday. Please consider whether you could walk, cycle, use buses or taxis instead of the car and keep up to date with travel information by checking before you travel.”
